David DuBois

David DuBois, professor in the Division of Community Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago, delivered a Talk at Twelve on February 20, 2014. The recording (audio and powerpoint) of Evidence-Based Practice for Promoting Youth Development: A Critical Perspective is now available in our media library and YouTube channel.

Numerous frameworks and sets of criteria have been advanced in recent years with the aim of identifying "What Works" for promoting positive youth development. In his talk, Professor DuBois critically examined these efforts and in doing so offered recommendations for improving their methodological and conceptual rigor as well as their practical utility.
