The staff of the BCTR's New York State 4-H Youth Development program provided leadership for a highly successful 4-H presence at the 2014 New York State Fair. Highlights included opportunities for 4-H youth to interact with Governor Cuomo, College of Human Ecology Dean Alan Mathios, Cornell Cooperative Extension Director Chris Watkins, and Joel Malina, Cornell University’s Vice-President for University Relations.

Hands-on activities in the 4-H Youth Building such as the National Youth Science Day project “Rockets to the Rescue” kept things lively and educational for youth and adults. Additional activities attracted interest from local media, including:

Throughout the two action-packed weeks at the Fair, the 4-H Press Corp captured the exciting activities 4-Hers were involved in through the NYS 4-H Success Story blog and the NYS 4-H Facebook page.
