Registration is now open for the 2013 4-H Career Explorations events to be held June 25 - June 27, 2013. For over 90 years, Cornell Cooperative Extension’s 4-H Youth Development program has conducted a three-day on-campus event for youth on the Cornell University campus. The purpose of Career Explorations is to provide youth with exposure to academic fields and career exploration, to help develop leadership skills, to provide hands-on experience in a college setting, and to introduce students to Cornell University. The event is made up of two grade-specific tracts: University U for youth entering grades 8 - 9 and Focus for Teens for youth entering grades 10-12. Activities are available through over 20 departments on campus, including Art, Animal Sciences, Computer Science, Human Development, Horticulture, and Veterinary Science.

Participants must register with their local 4-H Youth Development program through their county Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Office. CCE staff should complete registrations on-line by April 15. For full information, see the Career Explorations page on the NY State 4-H Youth Development web site.
